I made the burgers and brought lots of delicious toppings: bacon, provolone (no plastic "cheddar" allowed in this family), grilled pineapple, red onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and avocado. Of course I couldn't decide which to include, so I did them all!
Looks yum doesn't it? Although, it was hard to eat by the end -- I had to use a fork and knife. PS - this is how we like burgers in our family (at least the girls): a little meat with lots of toppings!
Burger Tips:
Don't use a low-fat burger meat - you need the fat to hold it together.Add some flavor, just throw in some sauces, spices that you like. But I always recommend Worcestershire.
For these burgers I put tomato paste, BBQ seasoning, mustard, and Worcestershire.
What do you like in/on your burger?
Mmmm! Looks yummy. Burgers are a staple at our house. We aren't very adventurous, but
ReplyDeleteone of our favorite burgers is topped with grilled onions, grilled green chilis and pepper-jack cheese. So good!
yummy sarah!! I always love the sweet and savory flavor of bbq sauce and pineapple together!
ReplyDeleterecently I made some burgers with bleu cheese crumbles, bacon, red onion, and spring greens. The bleu cheese gave a fabulous creamy tangy texture!
Looks so yummy! I like to put minced onion, garlic and cilantro in my meat mix and avocado and jalapeno cheese are two of my favourite toppings.
ReplyDeleteyummy. love everything you have on it.
ReplyDeleteI actually adore a good veggie burger with avocado, shredded carrots, red onion, fresh tomato. Nothing too fancy, but the shredded carrot adds a bit of color and sweetness that puts it over the top for me!
